Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Donald L. Stafford, age 79, of Swainsboro, GA on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at his residence.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Swainsboro City Cemetery with Rev. Hal Wilson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the Swainsboro City Cemetery.

CDC social distancing guidelines will be observed and masks will be encouraged for your safety and the health and well being of others.

Mr. Donald was born September 21, 1941, in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, GA, to the late Lehman Elliot and Irene Smith Stafford; was a SHS graduate, and excelled in baseball and basketball. He was retired from Woodman of the World with 10 plus years of service as area manager.  Mr. Stafford enjoyed golfing, saltwater fishing, watching all sports events, and adored his grandchildren.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jottie Stafford.

Survivors Include:

His wife of 16 years: Brenda Stafford of Swainsboro, GA

Daughter: Emily Blackburn (Charles) of North Augusta, SC

 Brother: Johnny Ray Stafford (Jimmie) of Swainsboro, GA

Grandchildren: Chloe Blackburn and Sarah Grace Blackburn.

Step Grandchild: Lauren Smith

Nieces, nephews and extended family.
