David Lee Kea

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. David Kea, age 65, of Brooklet, GA, on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, GA.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Kea's Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Alan Kea, Rev. Zac Kea, Charles Kea and Chris Kea officiating.

Interment will follow in the church Cemetery with Military Honors.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM till time of service.

Pallbearers are  Chris Kea, Zac Kea, Bobby Kea, Alan Kea, Charles Kea and Ryan Jackson

Mr. Kea was born January 26, 1954,  in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, GA to the late Horace Lee and Lucy Brantley Kea.  He was a graduate of Frankfurt American High School in Germany while serving his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Kea was a self employed carpenter by trade for more than 45 years,  was a loving grandfather and  affectionately known as "Hepaw".

His Wife of 41 years:   Robin Barron Kea of Brooklet, GA

Two Daughters: Michelle Collins (Bubba) of Statesboro, GA and Dani Kea of Brooklet, GA

Three Brothers: Charles Kea (Marlene) of Rincon, GA, Alan Kea (Theresa) of Hayesville, NC and Bobby Kea (Helen) of Tucson,  AZ

Five Grandchildren: Ireland Lee Kea, David Avery Collins, Kealan Claire Kea, Spencer Michelle Collins, Addison Brantley Collins, nieces, nephews and extended family
