Cynthia Kay (Hutcheson) Riner

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Cynthia Kay “Cindy” Hutcheson Riner, age 57, of Swainsboro, GA, who unexpectedly passed in Savannah,GA, due to a heart related illness, Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

Memorial services will be Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jim Harrell officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 24, 2021 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Cindy was born July 25, 1964, in Swainsboro Georgia to Bobby D. and Bonnie Faye Cox Hutcheson. Cindy was an honor graduate of Swainsboro High School and acquired her Bachelor’s Degree at the top of her class from Georgia Southern University. Cindy taught Pre-K and 2nd grade and was newly retired after 31 years of teaching in Emanuel County. Because of her sweet mannered disposition Cindy was loved by all who knew her. Cindy loved her children and her grandchildren, they were her greatest joy. She considered her students her children as well. Cindy was an exceptionally devoted teacher and adored all of her students. She was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her father, Bobby D. Hutcheson; and brother, Jeffrey Lane Hutcheson.

Husband of 37 years, Darrell Riner of Swainsboro, GA

Mother: Bonnie Faye C. Hutcheson of Swainsboro, GA

Daughter: Kimberly R. Cox (Bennie, Sr.) of Rockledge, GA

Son: Robert Elliot Riner of Swainsboro, GA

Brothers: Bobby Dion Hutcheson (Rachelle) of Swainsboro, GA and Jon-Eric Hutcheson of Swainsboro, GA

Grandchildren: Amber Lee Cox, Charlee Delaine Riner and Leythe Daniel Riner

A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Aunts, Uncles and Extended Family.
