Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Clifford Claude McKenzie, age 87, of Swainsboro, GA on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Pruitt Health and Rehab.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Elder Mike Gray officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bithynia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6-8 PM.
Pallbearers are Frank McKenzie, Tommy Henry, Earl Conrad, Tyler Dawkins, Sonny Hudson, and Chuck Dawkins
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Primitive Baptist Elders and Deacons.
Mr. McKenzie was born March 31, 1931 in Summertown, Emanuel County, GA to the late George B. and Mattie Harrell McKenzie. He proudly served his country, in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was later employed by the Emanuel County Animal Control for 25 plus years. Mr. McKenzie was a life long member of Bithynia Primitive Baptist Church, was a Deacon, loved fishing, farming and raising cows. His family said he never met a stranger and claimed to never have had an enemy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Ruth Gulledge; 8 sisters and 6 brothers.

Two Sons: Robert Lee "Bo" McKenzie (Connie) of Dublin, GA and Ricky Robertson of Swainsboro, GA
Son-In-Law: Wayne Gulledge of Swainsboro, GA
One Brother: Herman McKenzie (Janet) of St. Petersburg, FL
Five Grandchildren: Pam Hutcheson (Kyle Scott), Josh Robertson (Michelle), Melissa Gulledge (Jeff Farmer), Joe Bedgood (Michelle) and Alan Howard
Three Great-Grandchildren: Pvt. Austin Hutcheson, Emily Hutcheson and Jenna Farmer, nieces, nephews and extended family.
