Charles Colcock, VII Obituary

Mr. Charles Jones Colcock, VII, 86, of Twin City passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Memorial Health Hospital in Savannah. Mr. Charles was born March 14, 1938, to the late Charles Jones Colcock, VI, and Henrietta Gatch Colcock. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Hazel Key Colcock; granddaughter, Chandler Elizabeth Hamby.

Mr. Charles was a 1956 graduate from Benedictine Military School in Savannah, Georgia. He was also a Lieutenant in the Georgia National Guard. He was an avid outdoorsman and marksman. Mr. Charles enjoyed looking for artifacts and cooking for his friends. Mr. Charles retired from National Welders as an Assistant Manager.

He is survived by daughters, Stacey Amick (Carrol) of Lexington, S.C., Amy Hamby (Gregg) of Blythewood, S.C; brother, William O. Colcock of Bluffton, S.C; 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Twin City Methodist Church with Reverend Randall Smith officiating.

Interment will follow at El Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Twin City.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Twin City Methodist Church.

The Pallbearers will be Mr. Colcock’s grandsons; Lawson Estridge, Mason Hamby, Matthew Hamby, Miles Hamby, Morgan Hamby, and nephew, Calvin Stewart.

The family would like to thank Cherry Allen for the care and love she provided.

Memorials may be made to Twin City Methodist Church in Mr. Charles’ name to 212 S College Street, Twin City, GA 30471.
