Celeste Marsh

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Ms. Celeste Marsh, age 65, of Swainsboro on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors, Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Morris Brantley officiating.

Interment will be in the Lamb’s Cemetery in Emanuel County.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

CDC social distancing guidelines will be observed and masks are encouraged for your safety and the well being of others.

Pallbearers are Chase Marsh, Rick Marsh, Blake Marsh, Chuck Hendrix, Adam Thompson, Billy Marsh, Earl Flanders and Edmond Marsh.

Ms. Marsh was the daughter of Edward Marsh, Sr. and Lula Bell Kersey Marsh of Swainsboro. Celeste was a fun loving and comical person. She had a lighthearted way about her, but would often, “tell you like it is”.  She loved fishing and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Carol Calhoun, Cheryl Brown and Eddie Dean Marsh; three brothers, Edward “Pig” Marsh, Ray Marsh and Dennis “Dino” Marsh.

Survivors Include:

Sisters: Joan Akridge (Lewis) of Stillmore, GA and Crystal Marsh (Earl) of Kite, GA.

Brothers: Buddy Marsh of Canoochee, GA, Edmond “Rooster” Marsh of Swainsboro, GA, David Marsh (Janena) of Oak Park, GA, Kelvin Marsh (Stacie) of Kite, GA, and  Thomas Marsh (Denise) of Four Oaks, CA.
