Carolyn "Joyce" (Tapley) Anderson

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Carolyn "Joyce" Anderson, age 77, of Wadley, GA on Friday, October 20, 2017.

Funeral services will be Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ricky Anderson Jr. officiating

Interment will follow in the Midville, City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM till time of service.

Pallbearers are Christian Anderson, Chandler Anderson, Cameron Anderson, Jacob Anderson, Andrew Anderson, and Josh Anderson.

Mrs. Anderson was born December 29, 1939 in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, GA to the late Carswell and Pearl Woods Tapley.   She was a homemaker, loved her family deeply and liked to have fun.  Mrs. Anderson, not one to beat around the bush, would say and practiced her own advice "Tell it like is".  She was a member of the Midville Baptist Church and in addition to her parents was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Lee Anderson; and  brothers, Bennie Tapley and James Tapley.

Survivors include:

One Daughter: Betty Smith (Justin) of Swainsboro, GA

Three Sons: Ricky Anderson Sr. (Melanie) of Midville, GA, Steve Anderson (Pam) of Bartow, GA and Marlon Anderson (Lisa) of Wadley, GA.

One Sister Judy Hargrove (Duane) of Horn Lake MS.

Two Brothers: Wayne Tapely (Connie) of Sandersville, GA and Wyman Tapley (Ann) of Evans GA.

12 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
