Carol Lynette (Newman) Warren

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of  Mrs. Carol Lynette Newman Warren, age 89, of Oak Park, GA, on Friday, April 26, 2019, at Emanuel Medical Center Nursing Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Pendleton Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Jarrell officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5-7 PM.

Interment will be in the Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery near Oak Park, GA.

Pallbearers: Clay Lannigan, Jimmy Braddy, Scottie Bell, Benjie Bell, Rick Warren, Drew Warren, Greg Warren, Jayme Elliott, and Derek Warren.

Honorary Pallbearers: Matt Warren, Denny Sapp, Craig Elliott, Kane Bell, Gage Bell, and Joshua Sharpe.

Mrs. Carol Lynette Newman Warren was born in Chatham County to the late William Ashton Newman and Ella Strickland Newman on January 5, 1930. She was employed by Federal Pacific, Oak Park Manufacturing, and Roper Outdoor Products. She was a member of Pendleton Springs Baptist Church in Oak Park, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband, Wilson “Boy” Warren, great-granddaughter, Jade Braddy, sons, Wilson Wray and Frederick Clary Warren, five brothers, Bill Newman, Donnie Newman, Freddy Newman, Hubert Newman, and Paul Newman, two sisters, Jean Pyle and Wanda Lykes.

Survivors Include:

One Son: Dennis Warren (Vicky) of Oak Park, GA

Three Daughters: Renee Bell (Larry) of Swainsboro, GA, Dawn Braddy (Jimmy) of Oak Park, GA, and Spring Elliott (Steve) of Waynesboro, GA.

One Special Niece and Caretaker: Carole N. Parrish

Eighteen Grandchildren, Thirty-Six Great- Grandchildren, Numerous Nieces and Nephews
