Bonnie "Billie" Ruth (Amerson) Youmans

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Bonnie “Billie” Ruth Amerson Youmans, age 94, of Lexsy, GA, on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Tattnall Healthcare.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Elder Craig Lanier officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery

In honor of Mrs. Youmans the family welcomes you to wear your Georgia t-shirts to the service.

Pallbearers are Wade Youmans, Seth Youmans, Danny Hooks, and Dale Hooks

Mrs. Youmans was born May 16, 1928 in Lexsy, Emanuel County, GA to the late Johnny L. and Mamie Hammock Amerson. She was a Swainsboro High School graduate. Mrs. Youmans was a diehard Georgia fan. In addition to the American Red Cross she also volunteered at Silver Sneakers and Generation One as a senior care activities helper. Mrs. Youmans was an avid walker and bike rider. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Talmadge “Bum” Youmans, sisters, Grace Hooks, Louise Youmans, and brother Don Amerson.

Survivors Include:

Daughter: Diane Carter (Mike) of Cobbtown, GA

Son: Roger K. Youmans (Pam) of Savannah, GA

Sister-In-Law: Judy Amerson of Garden City, GA

Grandchildren: Dia Fennell (John), Michael Carter (Stephanie), Wade Youmans (Ashley), and Seth Youmans (Maggie)
