Bernard L. Oglesby

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announce the death of Mr. Bernard Louis Oglesby, age 80, of Twin City, GA on October 20, 2021 at the Emanuel Medical Center.

Mr. Oglesby was born April 15, 1941 to the late Henry and Sara M. Bishop Oglesby, in Metter, GA. He retired from Crider’s in Stillmore, GA.  He was a avid outdoorsman loving to hunt and fish.  In the early 70’s he was well known on the local racing circuit, taking home the winners flag, in the Hobby Class, on numerous occasions from 441 Speedway in Dublin, Eastman and other local venues, or finishing in the top of the standing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Sara Frances Farrow; and brother, Jamie Oglesby.

Survivors:

Daughters: Thalia Gordon (Ronnie) of Coshocton OH, and Angie Henry of Twin City, GA.

Son: Henry Oglesby of Twin City, GA

Brother: Bob Oglesby (Nellie Kate) of Savannah, GA

Six Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren and extended family.
