Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Benjamin "Benji" Woods, age 17, of Swainsboro, GA, on Thursday, April 4, 2019.

The funeral service will be held Monday, April 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Swainsboro City Auditorium with Rev. Morris Brantley officiating. Mr. Woods will lie in state at the auditorium  from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are:  Kip Poole, Christopher Atkinson, Cody Atkinson, Scott Helton, Danny Scarboro, Ben Faircloth, Willis McKenzie and Ollie Freeman.

Honorary Pallbearers are:  Jared Flowers, Allen Smith, Chesley Dixon, Tyler Davis, Jason Kight and Regan Moxley.

Interment will be in the Old Canoochee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Benji was born October 5, 2001 in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, GA to Ricky and Genette Woods. He was a student at Swainsboro High School, an avid fisherman and race fan.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Cierra Nicklow.
