Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Annie Lou Jeffers Brown, 95, of Twin City, GA, on Monday, February 03, 2020 at Emanuel Medical Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 05, 2020 at 3:00pm at Peebles, Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Franklin Sasser officiating.
Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00pm on Wednesday, February 05, 2020 at Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors, Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel.
Interment will be in the Friendship Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Twin City, GA.
Pallbearers are Jerry Hall, Charles Woods, David Ellington, Michael Ellington, Ricky Braddy and Andy Walden.
Mrs. Brown, born on June 26, 1924, was an only child to the late Willie and Elizabeth Jeffers Parrish and lived her whole life in Emanuel County. She worked at Twin City Manufacturing for fifteen years and also was a babysitter. She attended the Friendship Freewill Baptist Church in Twin City. Mrs. Brown loved working in her yards and tending to her goats. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan E. Brown, three daughters; Blanche B. Gainey, Paulene Bowen, and Gloria Hadden; three sons, Bud, Kenneth and Herman Brown.
Survivors include:
Daughters: Dorothy Portward, Hazel Donaldson, Lottie Ellington and Jeanette Portwood all of Twin City, GA.
Many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
