Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Ada Sherrod McNeely, Age 82, on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Westwood Nursing Home in Statesboro, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019, at 11:00 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jim Harrell officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 10, 2019, from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Interment will follow in Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum.
Honorary Escorts will be Zac McNeely, Ryan Kroger, Counts Camilla, Matthew McCorkle, Garrett Sowell and Ricky Stevens.
Mrs. McNeely was born November 19, 1936, in Midville, GA, to the late William B. and Caroline Parrish Sherrod. She was previously employed with Larkin Industries and retired from Ithaca Industries in Swainsboro. Mrs. McNeely was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, was active in the UMW and the Pumpkin Patch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Charles “Pete” McNeely; daughter, Susan McNeely; four sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include:
Three Daughters: Phyllis McNeely Kline of Claxton, GA, Judy McNeely McCorkle (Gary) of Statesboro and Lisa McNeely Peebles (Randall) of Swainsboro, GA.
One Son: Jimmy McNeely (Liz) of Augusta, GA
Nine Grandchildren: Christopher Kline, Justin Kline, Jennifer McCorkle Sowell (Garrett), Matthew McCorkle, Zac McNeely, April Kroger (Ryan), Brooke Camilla (Counts), Heidi Stevens, Maresa Lovett (Dorsey).
