Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Marilyn Wheeler Harrison, age 95, of Kite, GA, on Monday, April 20, 2020, at her residence.

Graveside services will be Private at the Kite City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Whitfield, Blake Keyton, Evan Stinson, Jason Riner, James Stinson and Alec Riner.

Mrs. Harrison was born March 4, 1925 in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, GA to the late Joseph Harvill and Ola Woods Wheeler and was a Swainsboro High School Graduate. She was previously employed with Sinclair Oil, Central Bank and was owner/operator of Harrison’s Grocery Store in Kite, GA, with her late husband James Benagie Harrison. After closing the grocery store they worked with the late Ellis and Grace Claxton at the City Drug Co. Mrs. Harrison was a member of the Kite First Baptist Church and in addition to her parents and husband was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Wheeler (Anita) and J. H. Wheeler Jr.(Betty)

Survivors include

Daughter: Sharon Harrison Helms (Walter) of Waverly, GA

Son: Bennie Joseph Harrison of Kite, GA

Sister: Ann Wheeler Whitfield of Harlem, GA

Two Grandchildren: Allison Stinson (James)of Dublin, GA, and Jason Riner (Mandy) of Statesboro, GA

Four Great Grandchildren: Blake Keyton (Brittany), Evan Stinson (Cynthia), Marley Riner and Alec Riner.

Great-Great-Grandchild Cameron Michael Keyton, nieces, nephews and extended family.
