Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Sheila Nasworthy Smith, age 68, formerly of Burke County, GA passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at her home in Tennessee.

Private Graveside Services will be conducted Monday, March 30, 2020 at 11:00 am at Midville City Cemetery with Rev. Daryl Cox officiating.

A traditional gathering and celebration of Sheila's life will be held at a later date. 

Pallbearers are Erik Kennedy, Rhett Blount, Trey Cowart, Clay Patrick, Trent Turner and Justin Hall.

 Honorary Escorts are Don Drew, Jr., Mike Braswell and J.E. Davis.

A native of Burke County Georgia, Sheila moved to Nashville, TN in 2017 to be close to her son Curtis and his family. Sheila had many talents and so many wonderful qualities. She had a loving and giving spirit that attracted many people that became endearing friends. She was the, “life of the party”, and her smile could light up any room. She loved to cook, tell stories and work with flowers. She was a co-owner of Kountry Klassics Florist in Midville. Her favorite time of year was in the summer when her and her family would vacation in Hilton Head, SC. She loved lying poolside with friends, being on the beach and watching the fireworks. Sheila and her son Curtis even made the cover of Hilton Head Islands Island Packet Newspaper one year while flying kites on the beach. Sheila was an exceedingly loving, caring and attentive mother and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Morris Smith; her parents, Wadley Curtis and Ida Ruth Hamm Nasworthy and a brother, George Nasworthy.

Son and Daughter-In-Law: Walter Curtis and Christine May Smith of Nashville, TN.

Sister: Glenda Nasworthy of Abilene, TX

Grandson: Aldris Mikelans Smith of Nashville, TN.
