Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Napoleon “Poke” Bennett, age 93, of Nunez, GA on Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Emanuel Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at 11:00 AM, in the Hebron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Garfield, GA, with Rev. Jim Harrell officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, January 29, 2019, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.

Mr. Bennett was born October 7, 1925, in Garfield, GA, to the late Frank and Peggy Johnson Bennett.  He was a Farmer; he loved to hunt and fish; and he was of the Baptist Faith.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Sally Hareb, Fannie Merle Hall and Lucy Roberson;  five brothers, Ernest “Buddy” Bennett, Earl Bennett, David Bennett, B. L. “Bozie” Bennett, Leonard Bennett and Frank Bennett, Jr.

Survivors include:

Two Sisters:  Mary Barth of Warner Robbins, GA and Peggy Ann Youmans of Stillmore, GA.

Two Brothers:  Dan Bennett and Gene Bennett both of Nunez, GA.
