Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Rev. Wilmer Eugene Hall, Sr., age 87, of Metter, GA on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Mt. Shady Baptist Church with Rev. Rusty Moore officiating assisted by Rev. Bunny Hudson

Interment will follow in the Mt. Shady Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ervin Stapleton officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6-8 PM

Rev. Hall will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers are Deacons: Andy Dixon, Mitchell Edenfield, Joey Goodman, Tom Phillips, Wayne Jukes, Henry Collins, David Steptoe, Lynn Edenfield.

Honorary Pallbearers will be attending Ministers and Wives, inactive Deacons and Wives.

Brother Wilmer was born September 27, 1931 in Kite, Johnson Country, GA to the late Gene and Edna Mae McGowan Hall.  Graduated from Liberty University and was Minster of Mt. Shady Baptist Church from 1969 till retirement in 2008.  Brother Wilmer was also a retired school bus driver for the Emanuel County Board of Education and Farmer.  He was a member of the Mt. Shady Baptist Church, loved his family and all who affectionately called him Pa Hall, and in addition to his parents was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Canady Hall; daughters, infant daughter and Dorothy Jean Hall; sister, Lizzie Mae Douglas; brothers, William D. Hall and Archie Hall.

Survivors include:

One Daughter: Catherine Page (Wayne) of Metter, GA

One Son: Gene Hall of Hilton  Head, SC

One Step Sister: Elise Taylor of Pooler, GA

One Step Brother: William Ray Scarboro of Pooler, GA

Six Grandchildren: Ashley Page (Harriett), Jeremy Page (Karen), Mandy Moore (Rusty), Becky Jaquish (Bill), Raven Tschida (Paul) and Logan Hall.

15 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
