Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Nora Mae Heath Morrison, age 91, of Swainsboro, GA on Wednesday, November 22, 2017.

Graveside services will be Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Heath Family Cemetery near Soperton, GA.

Pallbearers are  Matt Horne, Alvin Heath, James Bush, Eric Morrison, Jeffery Wiggins, Jeff Wiggins, A. J. Dudley and Heath Dudley.

Mrs. Morrison was born October 27, 1926 in Soperton, Treutlen County, GA to the late George and Alean Scott Heath.  Living most of her life in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, GA, she retired after 35 years, from Swainsboro Sportswear, loved fishing and traveling.  Mrs. Morrison was a member of Dellwood Baptist Church and in addition to her parents was preceded in death by her husband, James Morrison; brother, Joe Heath and three great-grandchildren.

Survivors include:

One Daughter: Betty Ann Bush Kitchens of Dellwood, GA

One Son: James Larry Morrison of Swainsboro, GA

Two Sisters: Julia Spivey of Vidalia, GA and Geraldine Horne of Adrian, GA

One Brother: Tommy Heath of Adrian, GA

Five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three great great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made in her honor to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or Paralyzed Veterans of America, Southeastern Chapter, 4010 Deans Bridge Road Hephzibah, GA 30815

We knew Mae back in the 60's and thought so much of her, she and my mother Florence Johnson Lawson were really good friends. So sorry for your loss, she was a lovely person!
