Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Eloise Woods White, age 88, of Swainsboro, GA, on Friday, April 15, 2016, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 18, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Hawhammock Baptist Church with Rev. Cail Pressey officiating.

Interment will be in the Hawhammock Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. White will be in state at the church one hour prior to the service.

The family will receive friends on Sunday Evening, April 17, 2016, at the Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

Pallbearers are:  Nick Kraus, Matt Snellgrove, Mark Snellgrove, Wesley Lytle, Corey Kraus and Christian Kraus.

Honorary Escorts are:  Hawhammock Women of Wisdom Sunday School Class.

Mrs. White was born in Emanuel County, the oldest member of Hawhammock Baptist Church and the Women of Wisdom Sunday School Class.  She enjoyed reading her bible and attending her church and Sunday School Class.  Mrs. White retired  after 30 years from Swainsboro Sportswear.  She loved being a Home Maker and Cooking for and spending time with her family.  Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. White; her Grandson, Jesse Wayne Carroll;  an infant daughter; three sisters; and one brother.

Survivors include:

One Daughter:  Jacqueline “Jackie” White of Canton, GA.

One Son:  Eddie White and her devoted and beloved daughter-in-law, Shirley of Hazlehurst, GA.

Two Sisters:  Doris Parker of Fleming, GA and Sarah Anderson of Farmville, VA.

One Brother:  John Edward (June) Woods of Midland City, AL.

One Grand Daughter:  Leslie Ann (Wesley) Lytle

Two Great-Grandchildren:  Ella Bryn Lytle and Tate Emerson Lytle.
