Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Virginia A. Weeks, age 84, of Swainsboro, GA on Monday, December 2, 2013, at the Emanuel Medical Center.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dr. Ray Freeman officiating.

Interment will be in the  Heath Cemetery in Treutlen County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM.

Pallbearers are grandsons

Mrs. Weeks was a native of Soperton, Treutlen County, GA and lived many years in Emanuel County. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and was preceded in death by her husband, William "Tee" Weeks; sons, William Weeks Jr., Eugene Weeks and Robert Weeks and mother, Minnie Amerson.

Survivors include:

Four Daughters: Brenda Gail Johnson (Marvin) and Martha Hagan all of Canoochee, GA Mary Hendley (Brant) of Garfield, GA and Betty Ann Cowart of Statesboro, GA

One Son: Eslin Weeks of Swainsboro, GA 

One Brother: George Amerson (Shirley) of Atlanta, GA

10 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren and other extended family.
