Phil was an outstanding soldier. He served in my Horizontal Construction Platoon and was a very proficient D-7 Bull dozier operator. In fact, he taught me how to operate the D-7 dozier in the early 1970's. Phil later transferred into the Active duty Army National Guard as a National Guard Recruiter. He did an outstanding job and his country thanks him for his service.

"Ms" Betty, Shari, & Family, I am so very sorry. "Ms" Betty I know this will be so difficult. I had planned to see you each and everyday last week. I can't ever remember not knowing you, Mr.
Walter, Phil, "big brother" that would come thru the house while Shari & I ate the best burgers I have ever had. I first stated developing my deep love for animals from being at your home as a very young girl. I loved going next door to visit, Mr. Walter, Ms. Betty, Phil and to play with my younger friend Shari. I Love you, Julie Youmans Tapley

The Gambrell Family,

Phil will be greatly missed by family and friends but God will
help you through this time. I remember Phil from school days especially
the time Mrs. Betty was my school teacher.
