Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Brooks Wilson, age 64, of Anderson, SC on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at his residence in Anderson, SC.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Emanuel Christian Ministries with Rev. Bunny Hudson officiating.

Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6-8 PM

Mr. Wilson will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be the Military.

Honorary Pallbearers are Charlie Wilson, Patrick Wilson, Ashley Pollett, Louis Martinez, Dustin Wilson and Ronnie Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was retired, First Sergeant,  US Army with 24 years of service during the Korean Conflict, Viet Nam War and Retired from Fort Gordon. He was a member of the VFW and later work as a communication Instructor for GTE. Mr. Wilson was a member of the Emanuel Christian Ministries and was preceded in death by his parents; Charlie and Irene Shepard Wilson, sisters; Shelba Jean Youmans, Sara Nell Bradley and brothers; James Wilson and Charles Wilson.

Survivors include:

His Wife: Porntip “Tim” Wilson of Anderson, SC

One Daughter: Kristina Irene Lindsey (Mondricus, Sr.) of Anderson, SC

One Son: Kevin Wilson of Belton, SC

One Brother: Carsel Wilson of Orlando, FL

Six Grandchildren: Patrick Wilson, Mondricus Lindsey Jr., Ellexus Lindsey, McKenzie Rose Wilson, Louis Martinez and Levi Ritchie.

One Great-Grandchild: Phoenix Wilson

So sorry to hear about Brooks. He was such a good friend in High School and in our teenage years. Rest in Peace Brooks. Thanks for serving our country with great honor.
