Anna, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Your Mama is a very special person who will be missed greatly. Just know that God's plan is always perfect and His plan was to take her home to be with Him. We love you and your family very much and will pray for God's comforting arms to pick you up and carry you.

Mr. Derrell, Mrs. Janice, Anna, Nick, Wesley, Patti, Elaine and Larry words cannot express the sorrow we have in our hearts for your families. This has truly been a shock for the entire community. Each of you are in our thoughts and prayers, if there is anything that we can ever do, don't hesitate to call on us. The Lord never puts more on us that we can bear, his shoulders are much broader than ours. Lean on the Lord and cast your cares upon him. We love each of you.

It was a privilege to know Cheryl and grow up with her. I especially enjoyed renewing our friendship recently. She was intelligent, articulate, very talented and beautiful, inside and out. We had developed a routine of getting together when I was visiting my family which I will sorely miss. Please know that many people loved and respected her and grieve with you.

Dear Elaine, Larry, Mr. and Mrs. Hendley and Family, Words seem inadequate to express my heart-felt sympathies to all of you. I am happy, however, that all of you have that blessed assurance that you will see Cheryl again. Imagine the homecoming celebration in Heaven. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever, Amen. I Peter 5:10-11.

With love, Valerie

Mr. and Mrs. Hendley, Anna and Family,
I know the whole family is traumatized by the suddenness of Cheryl's death and, while the pain of your grief may become more bearable as the months and years pass, your mourning, I know, will not end in this lifetime. I am so, so sorry. She was a special person who endeared herself to all who knew her. I was so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work closely with her in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and I will always remember those years fondly as she always brought Christian values, energy, and a positive attitude to the work place. She shared her purple-throated irises with me sometime during those years, and they are still growing in my yard. When they bloom in the spring, I will remember your Cheryl with love, and I will weep again for all of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you today as you lay your sweet daughter, mother and sister to rest. Lennis Powell
