Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Patsy Millwood Overstreet, age 72, of Twin City, GA, on Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at Augusta University Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Brother Wade Williams and Mr. Marvin Beasley officiating.

Interment will follow in the Brinson Cemetery

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Friday, December 27, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 PM.

Pallbearers are Tim Baker, Toby Durden, Steve Durden, Richard Snell, Steve Clark, and Jamey Canady.

Mrs. Overstreet was born June 20, 1947 in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, GA to the late Thomas Reid and Carolyn Edna Tapley Millwood. She was a retired fishing lodge operator at Shellman’s Bluff and was a charter member of the Sapelo Saltwater Fishing Club. She loved being a Nanny to her grandchildren. Mrs. Overstreet was a great cook and enjoyed entertaining. She was a fun person to be around and was known for speaking her mind. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 25 years, Samuel Joseph Overstreet, III, her sister, Martha Millwood Jones, and a special friend, Bobby T. Wimberly.

Survivors Include:

Her Daughter: Holly Wimberly (Tal) of Twin City, GA

Her Son: Samuel Joseph “Joe” Overstreet, IV (Kalon) of Bloomingdale, GA

Her Third Child: Keith Branch (Jane) of Glennville, GA

Her Sister: Sherry Millwood Love (Jimmy) of Soperton, GA

Mother-In-Law: Betty “Ma Pete” Overstreet Anderson of Twin City, GA

Her Grandchildren: Jonathon Dain Overstreet (Bonnie), Joseph Dakota Moss, Samera Jolynn Overstreet, and Baer Brinson Overstreet.

Her Great-Grandchildren: Alan Marshall Moss, Daylen Kenji Moss, and Britton Dyxon Overstreet.
