Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Ennis Powell Smith, age 78, of Swainsboro, GA, who died Monday, January 18, 2010, at the Emanuel Medical Center after a brief illness.

 

Funeral services are Wednesday, January 20^th, at 4 PM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Phil Wilson and Elder Gary Johnson officiating.

 

Interment will be in the Swainsboro City Cemetery with Rev. Ed Ellington officiating.

 

Pallbearers are nephews.

 

The family will receive friends at Durden-Hudson Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 PM.

 

Mr. Smith was a native of Emanuel County, a retired insurance salesman and was Primitive Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom Watson Smith and Sidney Parrish Smith.

Two Daughters: Dr. Connie Smith Robinson of Augusta, GA and Loree Pospisil of Seneca , SC

 

One Son: Scott Wayne Smith of Swainsboro, GA

 

One Sister: Merle Wilson Hall of Swainsboro, GA

 

4 Grandchildren: Kimberly Eubanks, Suzanne Roberts, Christy Lison and Greg Kirby

 

4 Great-Grandchildren
