Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Annie Jane Hooks Neil, age 86, of Swainsboro, GA who died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Toombs County Nursing Home after an extended illness.

 

Funeral services are Friday, January 15^th, at 2 PM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ronny Collins and Rev. Keith Johnson officiating.

 

Interment will be in the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Lexsy, GA.

 

The family will receive friends at Durden-Hudson Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6 – 8 PM.

 

Mrs. Neil was a native of Treulen County, the Blackville Community, a homemaker and was Church of God by faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manning and Minnie Hudson Hooks and her husbands, Esry Hooks and David Neil.

 

Survivors include:

 

Two Daughters: Nancy Scarboro of Swainsboro, GA and Martha Conley of Kemp, GA

 

One Son: Jimmy Hooks of Nunez, GA

 

One Brother: Reamus Hooks of Stillmore, GA

 

9 Grandchildren, 40 Great-Grandchildren, 10 Great-Great Grandchildren
