Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Helen Fortescue, age 62, of Swainsboro, GA who died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the St. Joseph’s Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Peebles Curry Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bunny Hudson officiating.
Interment will be in the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.
Pallbearers are Larry Fortescue, T. C. Fortescue, Dustin Fortescue.
Mrs. Fortescue was a native of Riverside, CA and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents; James David and Helen Ida Vrooman Sr., son; Frankie Allen Fortescue and grandson; Robert W. Oglesby II.

Her Husband Dewey J Fortescue Sr. of Twin City, GA
Three Daughters: Teresa Spangler of Rentz, GA, Pearline “Missy” Jarriel of Odum GA, and Tina Oglesby of Twin City, GA.
Three Sons: Dewey James Fortescue Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, Dean Fortescue and Larry Fortescue both of Twin City, GA
Two Sisters: Beatrice “Bea” Warron of Twin Falls, ID and Mary White of Richmond Hill, GA
Two Brothers: James David “Jimmy” Vrooman Jr. of Vista CA and Charles Tillery of San Marcus, CA.
15 Grandchildren, 5 Step-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Step Great-Grandchildren
