Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Charles A. Kitchens, age 74 of Swainsboro, GA on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at his home after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 20, 2012 at 11 AM in the First United Methodist Church with and Rev. Wayne Defore and Rev. Dr. Bill Woodson officiating.
Interment will be in the Swainsboro City Cemetery
The family will receive friends Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6-8 PM.
Pallbearers are Bobby Peacock, Mosco Dawkins, A. J. Dudley, Heath Dudley, Robbie Dudley and Jeffery Wiggins.
Mr. Kitchens was a life long resident of Swainsboro, GA entering this life and retiring to his new life at the same residence. He retired from the Air Force after serving in France, was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Swainsboro Lions Club. Mr. Kitchens was preceded in death by his parents; Ernest Lamar and Thelma Lewis Kitchens, brothers; Lamar Kitchens, John Kitchens and sister; Mary Vignati.

Two Step-Daughters: Sue Wiggins (Jeff) of Swainsboro, GA and Gerri Dudley of Adrian, GA
One Step-Son: James E. Bush (Jodi) of Swainsboro, GA
Twelve Grandchildren and Five Great-Grandchildren
