Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Caleb Cleveland Bowden, age 57, of Swainsboro on Saturday, February 27^th, 2010 at Twin View Health Care in Twin City, GA after a brief illness.

 

Funeral services are Monday, March 1, 2010 at 11AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating.

 

Interment will be in the Hawhammock Missionary Baptist Church.

 

The family will receive friends at Durden-Hudson Funeral Home Sunday evening from 6-8PM.

 

Pallbearers will be Brian Braddy, Lynn Hutcheson, J.J. Hall, Roy Hagan, Marty Harris, Mike Braswell, and John Radford.

 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Alcoholics Anonymous Group.

 

Mr. Bowden was a native of Emanuel County. He was a Registered Nurse and a Cosmetologist. He worked with the State Mental Hospital of Albany, GA. He also worked with Grady Hospital in Atlanta, GA. and the Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Bowden was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Rena Cowart Bowden, his brother, Bobby Bowden, and his sister, Clara Skinner.

 

Survivors include:

 

Three Sisters: Elizabeth Curl of Swainsboro, GA, Linda Powell of Swainsboro, GA and Alice (Jimmy) Davis of Albany, GA.

 

Two Brothers: James Bowden of Cuesta, GA and John Bowden of Canoochee, GA
