Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Minnie Mae Webb Peacock, age 90, of Swainsboro, GA on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at the East GA Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, GA after a brief illness.
Funeral services are Friday, February 26th, at 2 PM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Elder Tommy Rountree and Rev. Keith Hood officiating and a eulogy by Ken McNeely.
Interment will be in the Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Mark Riner, Chad Riner, Dr. Ben Odom, Jerry Odom, Ronnie Peszynski and Lee Peacock.
The family will receive friends at Durden-Hudson Funeral Home Friday from 1 PM until service time.
Mrs. Peacock was a native of Emanuel County. She had worked with Keller Industries and with Georgia Southern University Senior Companion Program in Statesboro, GA and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert L. Peacock; two sons, Jimmy Joe Peacock and L. Leon Peacock; her parents, Jim A. and Mary Perkins Webb; a sister, Ollie Flanders; and brothers, Lester Webb and Ollis Webb. She was a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Primitive Baptist Church near Kite, GA.
Survivors include:
Three Daughters: Dot Riner of Irwinton, GA, Sylvia Watts of Macon, GA and Verna Hood of Eden, GA
One Son: Wayne Peacock of Swainsboro, GA
14 Grandchildren, 24 Great-Grandchildren and 6 Great-Great-Grandchildren
