Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Gladys Tyson Page, age 88, of Swainsboro, GA on Sunday, August 6, 2017.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 11 AM in the Hillcrest Baptist Church with Rev. James Ray Freeman officiating.

Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM.

Pallbearers are Charles Flanders, Allen Amerson, Brent Freeman, Cory Freeman Elmer Thompson, and Josh Clements.

Mrs. Page was born on March 28, 1929 in Canoochee, GA to the late Joe and Curlie Powell Tyson.  Gladys was retired from Swainsboro Sportswear after many years, was a well known seamstress around the community, and a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, loved traveling, going to the beach and on cruises, gardening, cooking, and taking care of children. Gladys was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Page; son, Dean Royce Page; four sisters, Eva Nobles, Mary Flanders, Minnie Knight, and Trudie Tyson; and four brothers, Joesph Curlie “JC” Tyson, Wylie Tyson, Earnest Tyson and Preston Tyson.

Survivors include:

One Son: Donny Roy Page (Linda) of Houston, Texas

One Sister: Alma Brantley of Soperton, GA

Five Grandchildren: Brandon Page of Muskogee, OK, Adrian Page (Michael Bise) of Houston, TX, Deana Cadle (Don) of Savannah, GA, Cayla Page of Swainsboro, GA, and Emily Shipp of Dallas, GA

Two Great-Grandchildren: Jolene Cadle and Ava Page.
