Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Kathlene Wheeler Coxwell, age 87, of Kemp, GA on Sunday, August 6, 2017.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jack Stafford officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oak Park City Cemetery  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6-8 PM.

Pallbearers are Robert Coxwell, Stephen Coxwell, Gregg Lowery, Mitchell Coxwell, John Coxwell, Ryan Coxwell, and Neal Coxwell.

Mrs. Coxwell was born on May 7, 1930, in Emanuel County, GA to the late Grady and Mamie Collins Wheeler. Kathlene was a homemaker and a member of the Norristown Revival Center. She loved cooking, fishing, gardening, gospel singing, and spending time with family and friends. Kathlene was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She is preceded in death by her husband; James Coxwell Sr., three daughters; Linda Kay Coxwell, Shirley Coxwell, and Rita Fay Coxwell, four sisters, and three brothers.

Survivors include:

One Daughter: Brenda Sue Lowery (Randy) of Swainsboro, GA

Five Sons: James Coxwell Jr. (Betty) of Kemp, GA, Allen Coxwell of Soperton, GA, Bobby Coxwell (Kandis) of Adrian, GA, Ronald “Ronnie” Coxwell  of Kemp, GA, and Wayne Coxwell (Melissa) of Adrian, GA

Two Sisters: Doris Fulmer (JB) and Bonnie Hutto (Cecil) both of Akin, SC

One Brother: Marvin Wheeler (Doris) of Akin, SC

Eleven Grandchildren, Twenty-Three Great-Grandchildren, Two Great-Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family

Love and prayers for you all. She was such a warm, loving, gracious, and beautiful woman of God. She shall be greatly missed. She loved everybody and we loved her.
